About this course
BSc in Physics and Philosophy, a physics and philosophy degree combining scientific principles with analytical enquiry. The course is accredited by the Institute of Physics. Students undertake a major project or dissertation within physics alongside an independent essay project in philosophy during the final year. The curriculum covers foundational physics, mathematics, metaphysics, the theory of knowledge, and ethics in the initial year. Later stages examine the philosophy of science and the foundations of physics, complemented by optional units in philosophy. Instruction takes place within a department that engages students in active research themes.
