Entry requirements
A level: ABB including Maths and one of the following subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Environment Studies, Computer Science, Electronics or Design and Technology (Use of Maths, Mathematical Studies, Critical Thinking and General Studies not accepted) IB: International Baccalaureate Diploma 31 points, including 5 in Higher Level Maths (Analysis and Approaches) and Higher Level 5 in one of the following subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Geography or Design Technology
About this course
MEng in Mechanical Engineering, combining engineering science with product design and manufacturing. Core topics include programming, control systems, mathematical modelling, laboratory techniques, engineering design, and artificial intelligence. The programme is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and offers an optional one-year professional placement. Students undertake a major group project in their final year and may participate in Formula Student competitions.
