Entry requirements
A level: DDE BTEC: MPP Access to HE: Pass 45 Credits 64 UCAS tariff points. Your health interview and DBS Offers for a place on the Child Nursing with Foundation Year course are made only after a successful interview and are dependent on receiving a satisfactory reference. During your Foundation Year, you will complete both Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and Occupational Health (OH) checks. These checks must be fully cleared to ensure you can successfully transition into the BSc Nursing degree at the end of the Foundation Year. As part of your Occupational Health clearance, you will be required to complete all necessary NHS‑mandated vaccinations to prepare you for clinical placements. Evidence of your vaccination status may be requested by NHS placement providers or the university to confirm your eligibility and readiness for practice‑based learning. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Children's Nursing, covering the principles and practices of nursing care for infants, children and young people. Core topics include Data Analysis, Clinical Skills, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The course includes a Foundation Year pathway for students who do not meet standard entry requirements, and is aligned with NMC Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses, with eligibility to apply for NMC registration on successful completion. Clinical placements and Practice Learning through Simulation feature throughout the programme.
