A level: BBC IB: 29 Points BTEC: DMM Access to HE: 15 Distinctions and 30 Merits 112 UCAS tariff points. DBS requirements A current satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required. Where you do not already have this you can apply for this check through the University. It is a condition of registration on any course requiring a satisfactory check from DBS that the student maintains good standing in relation to their behaviour and, where required, subscribes to the criminal record status check service. It is also a condition of registration that prospective students undertake an Occupation Health screen to ensure that they are fit to practice. This online health screen establishes your vaccination status and boosters may be offered if needed in readiness for any NHS placements. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, covering sports therapy and rehabilitation. Core topics include clinical skills, critical and analytical thinking, and ethics and professional practice. The programme requires 400 hours of supervised practice for British Association of Sports Rehabilitators (BASRaT) registration, with placements in the university's teaching clinic and external settings. An optional industry placement year is available to gain additional supervised practice hours toward professional registration.
