About this course
BA (Hons) in Film Studies, combining film theory with media production practice. Core topics include Research Methods, Project Management, Communication & Writing, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Design & Creative Practice, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The course includes a 140-hour work placement and offers study abroad options. A final-year self-directed research project allows students to produce either a written dissertation or a practice-based outcome such as a film or multimedia content.
