Entry requirements
A level: CCC (Mathematics) IB: 28 points, including 5, 5, 4 at higher level Essential subjects: Higher Level Mathematics plus Biology or Physics, and Chemistry at Ordinary Level 4 Higher / Advanced Higher, SQA (standard): BBBC (Essential subject: Mathematics at Higher).
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Biology and Mathematics. Core topics include Mathematical Modelling, Statistics, Programming, Data Analysis, Research Methods, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. In the first year, two thirds of study is devoted to life science modules and the remainder covers university-level mathematics. Later years offer a mathematics work placement and a supervised mathematics project with a technical dissertation and viva.
