About this course

BSc (Hons) in Physics with Astrophysics and Mathematics, combining physics, astrophysics, and mathematics. Core topics include programming, microelectronics, statistics, mathematical modelling, research methods, and critical and analytical thinking. The curriculum covers both pure and applied mathematics alongside astrophysics modules such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, relativity, space physics and astronomy. A substantial mathematics project in the final year involves a technical dissertation, oral presentation, and viva.
