A level: CCC (Essential subjects: Mathematics + another science (Information Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Human Biology, Physics, or Computing Science) Physics preferred.) IB: 28 points, including 5, 5, 4 at higher level Essential subjects: Mathematics and a Science or Engineering subject, plus Standard Level Physics (if not achieved at Higher Level) Higher / Advanced Higher, SQA (standard): BBBB (Essential subjects: Mathematics and Physics or an Engineering subject or Mathematics and a Science subject, plus National 5 Physics at B).

About this course

BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering covers foundational and advanced engineering principles. Core topics include Control Systems, Engineering Design, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. Hands-on design projects and practical workshops are integrated into every semester across years one to three. The curriculum also includes industry-led projects involving presentations to industry experts.
