BA Archaeology with Foundation
About this course
BA (Hons) Archaeology with Foundation is an archaeology degree preceded by a one-year foundation programme for students who need additional preparation before degree-level study. The foundation year is designed for students from under-represented groups in higher education whose attainment or access to qualifications has been affected by educational disadvantage or disruption, and entry is subject to eligibility criteria. It is delivered by the university's Centre for Academic Development and focuses on how knowledge is constructed within degree study, metacognitive skills and independent learning, becoming more specialised as the year progresses. Students who complete the foundation year successfully progress to the first year of the BA Archaeology degree.
