Entry requirements

A level: AAB and a grade 6/B or above in GCSE Mathematics (if Mathematics is not studied at A-Level). IB: 35 with 665 in higher level subjects, including Mathematics. If you are not taking Mathematics at higher level, we can accept standard level Mathematics at grade 5.

About this course

BA (Hons) in Business and Management (with study abroad), a business and management degree examining organisations, strategy and their wider context. Core topics include statistics, research methods, marketing, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence and machine learning. The course includes a compulsory year studying abroad at a partner university, and an alternative three-year route or an optional placement year is also available. The first year builds foundations through The Changing World of Business, People, Management and Organisations, Foundations of Effective Marketing, Financial Information in Business, Strategy in Practice and Introduction to Leadership. The second year focuses on research capability and management processes, with Business Research Methods and Statistics covering qualitative and quantitative techniques for analysing business data, alongside Information Systems and Innovation Management. Optional modules at this stage span areas such as Human Resources Management, Operations Management, Managing Marketing Communications, Entrepreneurship, Consumer Behaviour, Advanced Topics in Technologies Driving Business and New Venture Creation. Year 3 is spent studying abroad at one of the partner universities. The final year centres on one compulsory 40-credit project chosen from Dissertation in Business and Management, New Venture Creation Project, or Organisational Behaviour and Leadership Project. Optional modules at this level include Business Analytics for Artificial Intelligence, International Marketing, Leadership, People Analytics, Strategic Investment Decisions, Options, and Valuations Under Uncertainty and Enterprise Risk Management: Principles, Methods and Applications.
