About this course
BSc (Hons) Health and Human Sciences with Foundation is an undergraduate degree situated within anthropology, beginning with a one-year foundation programme before the full degree. The foundation year is designed for applicants from under-represented groups whose previous education has been affected by disadvantage or disruption, and entry is subject to specific eligibility criteria. Teaching is delivered by academic tutors based in Durham's Centre for Academic Development, with a content focus on understanding how knowledge is constructed within degree programmes, metacognitive skills and independent learning, and on successful completion students progress to the first year of their degree.
