About this course
Early Childhood Studies with Graduate Practitioner Competencies BA (Hons) examines how children's experiences are shaped by social, cultural and institutional contexts. Core topics include research methods and ethics and professional practice. The course includes work-based placements in early years settings from birth to age seven, and students can achieve the Early Childhood Graduate Practitioner Certificate (ECGPC), enabling entry to the workforce as a Level 3 practitioner within statutory ratios. A dissertation allows independent research into a chosen area of early years practice.
