About this course

BSc (Hons) in Anatomy and Development, a cellular molecular and zoology degree focusing on human body construction, growth and repair mechanisms. The first two years cover foundational concepts through biomedical sciences, medical biology and cells to organisms 2. Students then select specialised topics in later stages, culminating in a fourth year featuring original, laboratory-based research and data/literature analysis-based research. Year 1 introduces fundamental concepts through biomedical sciences, medical biology and molecular and cellular biology. Year 2 builds on this via biomedical sciences 2, microorganisms, infection & immunity 2 and cells to organisms 2. Year 3 involves advanced study through biomedical sciences 3 and anatomy and development 3. Year 4 centers on the anatomy and development core alongside original, laboratory-based research or data/literature analysis-based research. Specialisms available include biomedical science, reproductive biology, pharmacology, neuroscience and infectious diseases.
