About this course
MA (Hons) in Business with Strategic Economics, a business and management degree centred on applying economic principles to strategic decisions made by managers. The honours years cover finance, corporate governance, debt policy, dividend policy, corporate restructuring, market efficiency, behavioural biases in corporate decision-making, and major strategic behaviours and decisions of the modern corporation. Studies in strategic economics focus learning on developing a strong knowledge base in economics while preparing for challenges facing contemporary businesses, governments, and not-for-profit organisations. Students examine how managers compare marginal benefits with marginal costs during business decisions. The course covers professional areas such as finance, strategy, innovation, marketing, human resource management, data analytics, and entrepreneurship.
