About this course

MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, a chemical engineering degree centred on the design and operation of processes that transform materials. Core topics include Project Management. The curriculum aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals including climate action. Year 1 builds foundational skills through modules focusing on confidence, advanced thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Year 2 introduces separation processes, fluid mechanics, chemistry and materials, thermodynamics, biochemical engineering and chemical engineering technology. Year 3 advances studies with thermodynamics and unit operations, heat, mass and momentum transfer, process dynamics and control, and process safety and environmental issues. Year 4 concludes the programme with engineering project management, fluid mechanics and chemical reaction engineering.
