About this course
BA (Ord) in Childhood Practice, an education degree focused on early childhood learning, care, and professional practice within the sector. The programme is work-based and requires students to be employed with children and families while studying, without involving traditional placements. Year 2 covers foundational concepts through Children and Childhood, Childhood Studies Work-Based Learning 1: Professional Development, and Children in the Family. Year 3 advances the study of organisational and social issues via Childhood Studies Work-Based Learning 2: Organisational Development, Children's Education and Social Justice, and Children's Health and Wellbeing. Year 4 concludes the course with advanced topics including Integrated Working in Children's Services and Children's Rights.
