About this course

BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, a civil engineering degree focused on infrastructure, design, and analysis. Core topics include Engineering Design and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The curriculum integrates teaching input from an Industrial Advisory Board and features design projects. The first year covers foundational mathematics and interdisciplinary tasks. The second year introduces structural mechanics, engineering materials, soil mechanics and engineering geology, and fluid mechanics. The third year advances into conceptual design and sustainability, water treatment and water transport, geotechnical engineering, and structural analysis and engineering. The fourth year includes structure design, foundation engineering, hydraulic engineering, and engineering design projects.
