About this course
MEng (Hons) in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, a mechanical engineering and electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on multidisciplinary systems. Core topics include Systems Design, Circuit Design, and Computer Architecture. The curriculum aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and incorporates input from Industrial Liaison Boards featuring senior company representatives. The first year covers foundational mathematics alongside general engineering, electronics, and mechanical concepts, while developing problem-solving and teamwork abilities. The second year progresses to analogue circuits, digital systems, power engineering, structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, and thermodynamics. The third year continues with structural mechanics and dynamics, thermofluids, control and instrumentation engineering, electrical power engineering, analogue circuits, and digital system design.
