About this course
MEng (Hons) in Electronics and Computer Science, an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on hardware and software systems. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, and Microelectronics. The five-year programme includes opportunities to complete an industrial placement project in the final years, supporting progression towards a career as a professional engineer. The first year introduces general engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, and computer science alongside mathematics. The second year advances into analogue circuits, digital system design, microelectronics, sensor networks, algorithms, data structures, and computer systems. The fifth year concentrates on advanced coding techniques, practical skills, and modelling and simulation skills.
