About this course
MInf in Informatics (5-year undergraduate Masters Programme), a computer science degree focusing on advanced computation, software design and theoretical foundations. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This integrated five-year programme culminates in specialised coursework and a personal project in the final years. The first year introduces information processing, computer programming, problem solving, and professional practices. The second year expands into software development, foundations of data science, algorithms and data structures, and computer systems. The third year involves practical work, independent problem solving, group work, robotics, computer security, machine learning and AI, computer systems and networks, software engineering, and algorithms. Years four and five offer specialised course choices and advanced Masters-level study.
