About this course
MA (Hons) in International Relations with Quantitative Methods, a mathematics and statistics and politics and international relations degree. Core topics include Statistics and Policy Analysis. One quarter of study time is devoted to quantitative methods. The first year covers Politics and International Relations 1A: Concepts and Debates, Politics and International Relations 1B: The Global Dimension, Political Thinkers, an introductory political theory course, Mathematics for Social Science, and Introduction to Statistics for Social Science. Year 2 focuses on Theories of International Relations and Doing Social Research with Statistics. Year 3 includes international political economy, global security, US foreign policy, human rights, gender theory, African politics, the Middle East, the Asia Pacific, foreign policy analysis, and advanced statistical methods.
