About this course

MA (Hons) in Persian and English Literature, an undergraduate joint honours degree in English Literature and Hebrew and Jewish Studies and Middle Eastern languages. The four-year programme is designed for beginners and heritage language learners, providing advanced language proficiency alongside English literary training across the late Middle Ages to the present. The first year covers domestic transformation, international challenges, post-war independence and conflict, poetry, drama, and prose. The second year introduces the religion of Islam and Islamic and Middle Eastern cultures. The third year continues with Persian and Middle Eastern literature and culture alongside English literature and reading theory.
