About this course
BSc (Hons) in Reproductive Biology, a biological sciences and human biology degree focusing on mammalian reproduction, embryogenesis, and reproductive medicine. Core topics include Project Management. The course shares a common foundation in biomedical sciences across the initial two years before branching into specialist subjects. The first year introduces biomedical sciences, medical biology, and molecular and cellular biology. The second year continues with Biomedical Sciences 2, Microorganisms, Infection & Immunity 2, and Cells to Organisms 2. In the third year, students undertake Biomedical Sciences 3 and Reproductive Biology 3, with the option to choose specialisms including anatomy and development, biomedical sciences, pharmacology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases at the end of the year. The final fourth year centers on advanced training through Reproductive Biology Project Planning, Research Skills in Reproductive Biology, and original laboratory-based or data and literature analysis-based research.
