About this course
MA (Hons) in Russian Studies and Spanish, a Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies and Russian Studies degree centred on the study of two widely spoken languages and their global cultural contexts. Students can join with no prior language experience through streams dependent on previous knowledge, and complete a full academic year abroad during the four-year programme. The first year offers a wide selection of subjects including linguistics and language sciences, business, economics and informatics, and history, classics and archaeology. The second year progresses to specific modules such as Transnational Russian Culture, The Golden Age of Russian Literature, and Introduction to European Cinema. The final year covers advanced study across film, literature, history, politics, language, linguistics, and media and cultural production.
