About this course
BA in Sociology and Anthropology is a sociology and anthropology degree focused on the examination of culture, social structure, and human behavior. Core topics include Systems Design, Data Analysis, Statistics, Research Methods, Fieldwork, and Social & Cultural Analysis. Students complete a three-year undergraduate programme combining compulsory disciplinary foundations with extensive optional study. The first year introduces foundational themes through compulsory modules such as Introduction to Social Anthropology, Contemporary Society: Themes, Perspectives and Case Studies, Social Analysis, and Imagining Social Worlds. The second year builds on this with compulsory study in Current Debates in Anthropology, Theoretical Sociology, and Knowing the Social World.
