About this course

BEng in Engineering and Entrepreneurship, an engineering degree centred on mechanical and electronic engineering principles combined with business practice. Core topics include Programming, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Marketing, Engineering Design, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Design & Creative Practice. At the conclusion of the final year, students present an engineering concept to a panel of judges to compete for business development support from the University. The first year covers the foundations through Engineering Mathematics and Scientific Computing, Multi-Disciplinary Group Challenge Project, Fundamentals of Mechanics, and Fundamentals of Electronics. The second year introduces further technical and business concepts through Leadership and Management: Fundamentals of Practice, Making Innovation and Entrepreneurship Happen, Entrepreneurship 2, and Modelling of Engineering Systems.
