BEng Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
About this course
BEng in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, an engineering degree exploring the design and application of automated systems, intelligent machines, and computational technology. Core topics include Programming, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, and Microelectronics. The programme includes practical project modules and laboratory work, culminating in hands-on challenges involving autonomous systems and robotic hardware. The first year introduces fundamental concepts through compulsory modules such as Engineering Mathematics and Scientific Computing, Fundamentals of Mechanics, Fundamentals of Materials, and Fundamentals of Electronics. The second year advances technical capabilities through Microcontroller Engineering, Modelling of Engineering Systems, Python and ROS for Robotics, and Control Engineering. Students also complete collaborative assignments like the Multi-Disciplinary Group Challenge Project and the Robotics and AI Challenge Project.
