About this course
BSc in Computer Science, a computer science degree covering the design, implementation, and theoretical foundations of computer systems. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Project Management, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme is accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. The first year introduces fundamental concepts through Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science. The second year advances technical capabilities with Software Development, Database Theory and Design, Network and Computer Security, and Team Project. Optional modules in the second year allow study in areas such as Web Development, Artificial Intelligence and Applications, Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing, and The C Family.
