BSc Data Science
About this course
BSc in Data Science, a computer science degree focusing on computational and statistical methodologies for analysing complex datasets. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Project Management, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Research projects feature in each academic year to support independent investigation using real-world datasets. The first year builds foundational capabilities through modules such as Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Computational Mathematics. The second year advances technical proficiencies via Machine Learning and Data Science, Team Project, Database Theory and Design, and Statistical Modelling and Inference. Students can also select from optional modules like Computational Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence and Applications.
