About this course
BSc in Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography), a diagnostic radiography degree centred on medical imaging and clinical practice. Core topics include Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme is approved by the College of Radiographers and the Health & Care Professions Council, and includes clinical placements of 16 weeks in each year. The first year establishes core knowledge through Practical Placement 1, Research and Evidence Based Practice, Foundations of Patient Care, and Anatomy and Physiology for Radiographers. The second year progresses to advanced technical concepts via Practical Placement 2, Project Studies 1, Science for Medical Imaging, and Medical Imaging Applications. The final year consolidates professional capabilities through Project Studies 2, Practice Placement 3, Pathology and Image Interpretation 2, and Professional Skills and Leadership for Radiographers.
