About this course

BSc in Natural Sciences, a natural sciences degree centred on multidisciplinary scientific theory and investigation. Core topics include Programming, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methods, and Communication & Writing. Students can publish their independent research work as early as the second year of study. The first year covers foundational principles through Mathematics and Computing: Integrative Tools for Natural Sciences, Foundations in Natural Science, and Experimental Science. The second year builds upon these concepts with Frontiers in Science 2 alongside optional choices spanning Ecology and Environment, Structure and Reactivity of Organic Compounds II, Advanced Cell Biology, Molecular Biology of the Gene, Analytical Techniques in Biochemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, Genomics and Introductory Bioinformatics, Differential Equations, Vector Calculus and Applications, Physical Chemistry, Introduction to Numerics and Simulation for Scientists, The Physics of Living Systems, Observing the Universe, Electromagnetism I, From Light to Quanta, Quantum Mechanics I, Condensed Matter, and Physics of Climate Change.
