About this course

MEng in Chemical Engineering, an engineering degree focused on the conversion of raw materials into functional products across industrial scales. Core topics include Programming, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Control Systems, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Laboratory Techniques, Engineering Design, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Entrepreneurship. The MEng programme features a fourth year dedicated to advanced study and a comprehensive investigative project. The first year builds fundamental knowledge through compulsory modules such as Engineering Mathematics and Scientific Computing, Fundamentals of Mechanics, Fundamentals of Materials, and Fundamentals of Electronics. The second year introduces core chemical engineering concepts through modules including Introduction to Fluid Dynamics, Modelling of Engineering Systems, Principles of Chemical Engineering, and Reaction and Reactor Engineering 1. The third year advances technical capabilities with compulsory study in Fluid Dynamics and CFD, Chemical Engineering Design: 1 - Research, Energy Storage, and Separation Processes and Particle Technology 1.
