Entry requirements
Students should consult the Tianjin University website for entry requirements to year 1 of the programme. For entry to the University of Glasgow in Level 3 Tianjin University students will need to obtain 75% and above in all core subjects their first two years of study. There is a maximum of 20 places guaranteed at the University of Glasgow for students from Tianjin University.
About this course
BEng/MEng in Aeronautical Engineering (in partnership with Tianjin University), an aeronautical engineering (in partnership with Tianjin university) degree centred on how aircraft are designed, constructed and powered, how they are used and how they are controlled for safe operation. Core topics include Microelectronics. The course is delivered in partnership with Tianjin University. The first year covers studies across the School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, School of Electrical and Information Engineering, and School of Microelectronics. Third-year compulsory modules comprise Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics 3, Aircraft Design Project 3, Control 3, Instrumentation and Data Systems 3, Simulation of Engineering Systems 3, Dynamics 3, Propulsion & Turbomachinery 3, Aircraft Performance and Design Analysis 3, Flight Mechanics 3, Aircraft Structural Analysis and Design 3, and Aircraft Structural Mechanics 3. The fourth year includes compulsory study in Aerospace Design Project 4, Individual Project 4, and Elements Of Law For Engineers 1.
