About this course
MSci in Chemistry with Work Placement, a chemistry degree centred on the science of molecules and materials. The curriculum incorporates a professional work placement year during the fourth year. The final year culminates in an independent research project alongside advanced studies. The first year covers core principles through Chemistry 1. The second year progresses with Chemistry 2X and Chemistry 2Y. The third year builds advanced knowledge through Inorganic Chemistry 3, Organic Chemistry 3, Physical Chemistry 3, and Frontiers Of Chemistry 3M. Following the industry placement in year four, the fifth year focuses on specialist topics and complex problem-solving via Chemistry Special Topics 4M (A), Chemistry Problems 4M (A), Inorganic Chemistry 4M (A), and Organic Chemistry 4M, supported by the Chemistry Project 4M (A).
