About this course
BEng/MEng in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on hardware, systems, and modern technological applications. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, and Entrepreneurship. Students undertake a team design project covering the complete manufacturing process from initial specification to the finished product. The first year establishes fundamental concepts through Engineering Mathematics 1, Materials 1, Dynamics 1, and Thermodynamics 1 alongside introductory engineering modules. Year two deepens technical knowledge with compulsory studies in Analogue Electronics 2, Digital Electronics 2, Electrical Circuits 2, Electronic Devices 2, and Embedded Processors 2. The third year advances into complex applications via Communication Systems 3, Control 3, Power Engineering 3, Real Time Computer Systems 3, and a dedicated team design project. Later stages conclude with advanced technical modules alongside individual projects.
