A level: AAB or BBB (Additional requirements: A-level Mathematics.) IB: 34 (6,5,5) (Additional requirements: HL6 Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches).) Scottish Higher: BBBB is the minimum requirement from S5 to be reviewed for an S6 offer Offers are not guaranteed to applicants who meet the minimum from S5 Typically offers will be made at AAAAA by end of S6. B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher Additional requirements: Higher Mathematics and a Higher Science subject at AA. (AB may be considered). Scottish Higher (widening access): MD20 : BBBB (also other target groups*) MD40 : AABB* Additional requirements: Higher Mathematics and a Higher Science subject. About this course
BSc in Finance & Mathematics, a mathematics and accounting and finance degree centred on analytical methods in economic theory and financial systems. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Accounting. The programme incorporates triple-crown accreditation for the business school and features guest lecturers from the financial sector. The first year establishes fundamentals through modules such as Mathematics 1, Finance 1, Financial Accounting 1, and Statistics 1Y: Introduction to Statistics: Learning from Data. The second year introduces deeper concepts via Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Introduction To Real Analysis, and Mathematical Methods and Modelling alongside finance and economics topics. The third year advances core study through Algebra, Mathematical methods, Metric spaces and basic topology, Capital markets, International financial markets, Financial statement analysis, and Financial markets and financial institutions.
