About this course
BSc/MSci in Mathematics and Statistics & Data Analytics (faster route), a mathematics and statistics & data analytics degree centred on quantitative and analytical methods. Core topics include Programming, Statistics, and Mathematical Modelling. High achieving candidates joining straight from school can complete the Honours degree in three years or the MSci degree in four years. The second year covers foundations through Foundations of Mathematics, Mathematics 2A: Multivariable Calculus, and Statistics 2R: Probability. The third year includes compulsory study in Statistical Inference, Regression Models, Statistical Programming in R and Python, and Data Skills & Consultancy alongside mathematical modules. The final year offers optional modules spanning subjects such as Differential Geometry, Numerical Methods, Advanced Bayesian Methods, and Stochastic Processes.
