About this course

BEng/MEng in Mechatronics, a robotics engineering degree focused on the integration of mechanical, electrical, and control principles. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Microelectronics, and Entrepreneurship. Students participate in a multidisciplinary integrated system design project in the fourth year, collaborating in teams with peers from various engineering disciplines. The first year covers foundational principles through Engineering Mathematics 1, Analogue Electronics 1, Design and Manufacture 1, and Statics 1. The second year progresses with modules such as Electronic Design Project 2, Embedded Processors 2, Introductory Programming 2, and Power Electronics 2. The third year involves advanced study with Control 3, Real Time Computer Systems 3, Mechatronic Team Project 3, and Advanced Programming and Software Engineering 3. The fourth year features modules including Control 4, Individual Project 4, and Business Planning and Management for Engineers. The final fifth year concludes with Design Special Topic 5 and Individual Project 5.
