About this course

BSc/MSci in Physics with Astrophysics (faster route), a physics degree centred on astrophysical study. Core topics include Mathematical Modelling. High-achieving candidates joining straight from school can complete the Honours degree in three years or the MSci degree in four years. The second year covers foundational theory through Physics skills for faster route, Astronomy 1 for faster route, Physics 2 and Mathematics 2A: Multivariable Calculus. The third year explores core concepts via Mathematical Methods 1, Waves & Diffraction, Circuits & Systems and Quantum Mechanics alongside laboratory work. The fourth year features advanced study in Solid State Physics, Atomic Systems and General Physics Workshop, culminating in a Physics Project.
