About this course

BEng/MEng in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, a robotics engineering and computer science (artificial intelligence) degree focused on intelligent systems and automated hardware. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Practical teaching is supported by a dedicated Robotics Teaching Laboratory. The first year covers core engineering principles through Engineering Mathematics 1, Statics 1, Dynamics 1, and Analogue Electronics 1. The second year expands into computing and electronics via Introductory Programming 2, Embedded Processors 2, Digital Electronics 2, and Electronic Design Project 2. The third year builds advanced technical capability with modules such as Real Time Computer Systems 3, Control 3, Electronic System Design 3, and Team Design Project EE3. The fourth year introduces specialized themes including Robotics 4, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 4, Robotics Team Design Project 4, and Individual Project 4. The fifth year concludes the MEng program with Advanced Control 5, Design Special Topic 5, Individual Project 5, and Advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 5.
