Entry requirements

A level: AAB or BBB (Additional requirements: A-level Biology or Chemistry.) IB: 34 (6,5,5) (Additional requirements: HL Biology or Chemistry.) Scottish Higher: ABBB is the minimum requirement from S5 to be reviewed for an S6 offer Offers are not guaranteed to applicants who meet the minimum from S5 Typically offers will be made at AAAAA by end of S6. B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher Additional requirements: Higher Biology or Chemistry. (A in either). About this course

BSc/MSci in Sport & Exercise Science, a sport & exercise science degree focused on human biology and physical performance. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods. The final year includes practical project options alongside professional internship placements with sports organisations. The first year covers foundational scientific concepts through Biology 1A, Biology 1B, Chemistry 1 and Science Fundamentals-1X. The second year progresses to deeper biological principles with Core Concepts in Human Biological Sciences 2, Investigating Human Biological Sciences 2, Fundamental Topics in Biology 2 and Animal Biology, Evolution and Ecology 2. The third year involves advanced study via Sport and Exercise Science 3A and Sport and Exercise Science 3B. The final year centres on core subjects such as Physiological Determinants of Performance 4X core (compulsory) and a major project selected from options like Life Sciences Investigative Honours Project, Life Sciences Outreach Honours Project, Life Sciences Internship Honours Project and Life Sciences Dissertation Honours Project, complemented by specialised study in Advanced Exercise Physiology 4C option (compulsory) and Statistics for the Life Sciences (Sem 1) 4Y option (compulsory).
