About this course
BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science, covering human anatomy, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, microbiology, and clinical laboratory science. Core topics include statistics, laboratory techniques, research methods, and entrepreneurship. Students complete a research project in the final year and may undertake an internship or professional experience module with NHS trusts and biomedical organisations. A placement year in UKAS-accredited NHS hospital laboratories enables completion of the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio for those pursuing registration as Biomedical Scientists.
