Entry requirements
Entry requirements Typical offers 112 UCAS tariff points, BBC at A levels with one subject preferably in a science. DMM at BTEC to include 6 units in a Science or Health Science subject, 2:2 or above in a previous degree, or a Pass (C or above) in T-Level in a science or health-related subject. Access to HE Diploma from a QAA recognised Access to HE course in a health or science based subject. Applicants required to meet 112 tariff points (example of achieving this would be 24 distinctions and 15 merits and 6 passes or 21D, 18M and 6P). Additional requirements You must have a minimum of five subjects at GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent), including English Language, Maths and Science. Selection by interview Selection for this course is by interview. Please refer to our interview guide for further information. Disclosure and Barring Service Clearance You must declare at the point of application and interview any criminal convictions (spent and otherwise), as this will determine your eligibility to progress through the application process. Once you have been offered and accepted a place on your programme, you will need to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (adult and child workforce) and send a copy of the DBS certificate to our admissions team. If you have any criminal convictions, a risk assessment will be undertaken to determine your suitability for the programme and profession. All successful applicants MUST complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and this is at the applicant’s expense. Applicants MUST sign up to the DBS
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Learning Disabilities Nursing. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, Clinical Skills, and Ethics & Professional Practice. The programme includes an independent research project in the final year, and students may specialise in areas such as communication strategies or behavioural interventions. Designed in collaboration with NHS partners, private and voluntary sector organisations, and service users, the course emphasises leadership in nursing practice.
