Entry requirements
A level: BBB (B in Maths required) IB: 28 points. Must include Maths achieved at Higher Level 5. Highers: ABBBB (over two sittings). Must include Maths achieved at A. BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM. Must be in a relevant subject and contain sufficient Maths. HNC: B in graded unit. Must be in a relevant subject and contain sufficient Maths at SCQF Level 6. HND: BB in graded units. Must be in a relevant subject and contain sufficient Maths at SCQF Level 6.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Mathematics and Statistics. Core topics include Statistics and Mathematical Modelling. The programme incorporates a year-long work placement in industry, culminating in the Diploma in Industrial Training. Students may gain exemptions from Core Principles subjects of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries curriculum.
