Entry requirements
A level: AAB (A in Maths required) IB: 28 points. Must include Maths achieved at Higher Level 6. Highers: AAAB (over two sittings). Must include Maths achieved at A. BTEC Extended Diploma: DDD. Must be in a relevant subject and contain sufficient Maths. HNC: B in graded unit. Must be in a relevant subject and contain sufficient Maths at SCQF Level 6. HND: BB in graded units. Must be in a relevant subject and contain sufficient Maths at SCQF Level 6.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics. Core topics include Statistics and Mathematical Modelling. The early years cover basic mathematics, probability, and statistics, while the final years focus on advanced specialist topics in statistical modelling, data science, and stochastic processes. Students can transfer to related mathematical, statistical or actuarial programmes during the first two years.
