Entry requirements

BBB-BCC at A Level including a minimum grade B in Chemistry. The endorsement for practical work is an essential part of Science A Level study, and is a requirement for entry to our degree course. DDM-DMM in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science. 120-104 UCAS points including a minimum grade B in Chemistry at A Level. Access to Higher Education Diploma with 45 Level 3 credits at Merit with at least 21 in Chemistry. 120-104 UCAS tariff points from International Baccalaureate qualifications, including Higher Level Chemistry at grade 5.

About this course

MChem in Chemistry. Core topics include Microelectronics, Statistics, Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, and Ethics & Professional Practice. The degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. In the third year, students undertake a 48-week supervised training placement in a university research group, followed by a substantial research project in the final year.
