Applicants should have an A level or BTEC in Biology and Chemistry/Applied Science at Grade C/Merit or above. Applicants taking the reformed A-level must also Pass the practical element. Alternative qualifications IB Diploma: 28 points, including 5 in HL Chemistry and Biology. Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 96-112 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 18 credits at Merit in Chemistry/Physical Science and 18 credits at Merit in Biology.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry, a three-year undergraduate programme. Core topics include Research Methods, Data Analysis, Statistics, and Programming. Laboratory-based learning spans microbiology, cellular biology, genetics, and analytical chemistry, culminating in a final-year research project.
