Our contextual offer is 96 points. But there’s no ceiling on ambition. At least 80 points must come from A levels, BTEC, or other equivalent qualifications . Applicants should have A level Biology/Applied Science at Grade C or above (or merit from relevant BTEC). Applicants taking the reformed A-level must also Pass the practical element. Alternative qualifications IB Diploma: 28 points including 5 in HL Biology. Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 96-112 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 18 credits at Merit in Biology.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology, studying marine organisms and their ocean environments. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Programming, and Project Management. The first two years provide a broad foundation before specialisation in year three. Optional PADI Advanced Open Water dive training is included within the degree.
