Applicants taking the reformed A-level must also Pass the practical element. Any offers made are conditional on the results of an enhanced DBS check and confirmation that any health requirements have been met. Alternative qualifications IB Diploma: 28 points including 5 in Higher Level Maths. Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 96-112 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 18 credits at Merit in Maths.

About this course

BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Education, combining mathematical study with educational theory and practice. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methods, and Communication & Writing. The accelerated two-year programme includes regular school visits and a work-based reflective practice module in the first year. Students work alongside Mathematics specialists in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, covering calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and differential equations.
