Our contextual offer is 96 points. But there’s no ceiling on ambition. At least 80 points must come from A levels, BTEC, or other equivalent qualifications . Remember, we look at your whole application – not just grades. Achievements, work experience, extracurricular activities: they all count here. Applicants should have A level Biology/Applied Science at Grade C or above (or merit from relevant BTEC). Applicants taking the reformed A-level must also Pass the practical element. Alternative qualifications IB Diploma: 28 points including 5 in HL Biology. Pass Access to HE Diploma overall with a minimum of 96-112 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 18 credits at Merit in Biology.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Zoology, covering animal biology from subcellular processes to whole ecosystems. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Research Methods, Fieldwork, and Project Management. Students can choose optional PADI Advanced Open Water dive training as part of the programme. A year abroad at a partner university is available, with residential fieldwork in the UK and overseas destinations.
